The Vlad App ("we," "us," or "the platform") provides booking, payment, and trusted-referral software for professional black-car and livery drivers and their clients. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you. By using the platform, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
- Driver account information — name, photo, phone number, livery or TCP license number, vehicle details, and payout details collected through our payments provider.
- Client account information — name, photo, phone number, and a payment method collected through our payments provider.
- Booking and ride data — pickup and drop-off locations, times, fares, and ride history needed to provide and record a trip.
- Location data — real-time location during an active ride, used to provide navigation and live trip tracking. Location is not collected when a ride is not in progress.
- Device and usage data — basic technical information such as device type and app interactions, used to operate and improve the service.
How we use information
- To create and manage driver and client accounts.
- To process bookings, authorize and capture payments, and issue receipts.
- To enable live trip tracking and trip notifications.
- To support the trusted-driver referral feature, while protecting client ownership and limiting what a completing driver can see.
- To provide customer support, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are collected and stored by Stripe under its own terms and privacy policy; we do not store full card numbers on our systems. A platform service fee is added to the rider's charge at the time of ride completion, as described on our home page and in our Terms of Service.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the platform — including our payments provider, mapping and messaging providers, and cloud hosting — and only as needed to deliver the service. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
Drivers and clients are independent businesses and individuals. A client's contact details and history belong to the driver who brought them onto the platform; when a ride is handed off to a trusted driver, that driver sees only the client's first name and the trip details needed to complete the ride.
Data retention
We retain account, booking, and payment records for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with tax, accounting, and legal requirements. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us.
Your choices
- Access, correct, or delete your account information by contacting us.
- Control location permissions through your device settings; some features require location while a ride is active.
- Opt out of non-essential notifications in the app.
Children
The platform is intended for use by adults and is not directed to children under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated in the app.
